Qaddum, a 70 Year Old Farmer Brutally Taken From His Olive Grove

Kedum (كفر قدّوم), Kalkilia District.

A 70-year-old farmer was detained in his olive grove. He was taken to the guard post in the Kedumim settlement in a civilian vehicle, handcuffed and blindfolded. He was released after a few hours. The olive trees were not harvested. why? Because it is possible.

In the morning, "Looking at the occupation in the eyes" activists arrived to help a Palestinian farmer with the olives harvest, which was approved and coordinated  by Coordination and liaison manager and whose location was even marked on maps. Shortly after they arrived, a soldier arrived and asked them to leave. why? Because. Immediately after him, another group of soldiers arrived who refused to identify themselves, even though they are obliged. They asked the activists to move about 40 meters to another farmer's land. After deliberation, commanders arrived, followed by the battalion commander and with him an armed civilian from a Kdumim settl. They already demanded to move 100 meters. All this without warrants, without marked maps. After all these did not help, despite the threat to detain the activists and call the police; When the farmer was already on his way back, the soldiers explained that there was a need for the approval and coordination was already made, which indeed included borders marked on the map. After the activists moved away from the area, it was explained to them that the problem was not with the harvest, the problem was that they had come to help harvesting the olives

This is livelihood deprivation!

Predatory apartheid in all its ugliness.
